Strawberries
Baby girl found the strawberries!
She has had strawberries before, but she has been eating a handful every day lately. Then last week she had bumps all over, and I was worried she was suddenly allergic. That would have been sad, because she is pretty cute digging these out.
And the strawberries are ok to eat!

Turns out she is not allergic, she just had a virus. Poor girl has been sick with one thing or another for 5 weeks straight now. Luckily the bumps have subsided and she is back to normal.

No Training Wheels!
It was time for Dallin to learn to ride his bike without training wheels. I will say it is because he is 5, but really it was because I ran over the bike and bent the training wheels so they wouldn't work anymore. Anyway.
He was very resistant to the idea. It was a new feeling. He wanted to give up, but in no time at all...
He was doing amazing! Way to go Dallin!

Peaches
We had such a warm winter once January came that most plants around here thought spring had sprung. As expected, we weren't done with winter. A big snow storm came right when my peach blossoms were most vulnerable.
Since Google knows all, I searched for a solution to losing my peaches to the cold snow. Some sites recommended Christmas lights to add some warmth. So I stood in the swirling snow and strung up lights. It was really pretty.

I don't know if it did any good. Maybe it didn't get quite cold enough to be a danger, but we have peaches! In July or so, we will be feasting on these lovelies:
I love summer here.

Rainy Fun
With all this rain, Dallin and I found something fun to do.
We drove cars in the "river." Then we made "boats' out of little pieces of paper. They floated pretty good!

Funnel Cloud
Look what we saw last week! We saw this when we were just over the hill in Bear River City.
We pulled over and watched it for a while. It was cool to see the bottom swirling and twisting. A few seconds later, hail came down so hard on our van! It was violent. I pulled over again just to be safe. I almost thought it would break my windshield! Crazy spring weather.

End of School
Another year of school has come and gone. Kyle wrapped up elementary school, he will be a 6th grader next year! In our district, that is middle school.
And Dallin is done with preschool. It is off to Kindergarten in a few months! Yay!
Blake finished 2nd grade. Cutie!

Wildcat Run
It was an exciting morning here! The Wildcat Run was at the boys' school. The local radio station comes, the neighborhood south of the school shuts down and tons of parents come to cheer.
Since he is a 5th grader, it is Kyle's last one!!
He did pretty good, especially for not training. Lazy butt. If he had tried at all, he would have done amazing. But it was awesome to watch still.
I had sick Julia with me. She was so sad. So between holding her when she got fussy and keeping my camera dry in the drizzle I didn't get the greatest pictures. :)
And here is Blake taking off from the starting line:
Coming in at the finish! Blake was 10th boy! It was awesome. He has been training. Most every day he runs the loop around our park and pushes himself really hard. Proud momma!
Together cheering on the other kids:
It is amazing to watch all these kids accomplish something big like running a mile. And they get cheered on no matter what place they come in at. It is a great day!

Daddy
Julia saw Brian on his phone and wanted some attention. So she climbed right up and sat on him.
She got what she wanted. :)
