4th of July

We made it up to Wyoming for the 4th of July.  It was beautiful and there's lots of fun stuff for the kids to do.

Julia had her first motorcycle ride!  She loved it so much.  All the rest of the day, she would walk over to the motorcycles and ask by reaching out her hand. 



 

Brian let Dallin try to ride this little motorcycle on his own.  But Dallin wasn't in the mood to listen, and he just tried to take off. 

 

It startled Dallin, so Brian softly put Dallin onto the ground so that he wouldn't hurt himself.  This motorcycle goes so slow anyway.  It is slower than a bicycle.  But this experience helped Dallin have a respect for motorized vehicles.  Each of the boys do.  I like that the boys can learn on things that won't hurt them and they learn to be safer drivers.

 

Dallin preferred just riding with Dad anyway.  :)

Aquarium

We had a great time at the aquarium this week.  This is really Julia's first big trip somewhere. 

 She was pretty mesmerized and loved all the new things to explore. 

 

 

Kyle is such a good big brother!  He loved to show her new things.  

 

The boys had a great time too!

I think everyone's favorite was the shark tank.  It was a cool tunnel you can walk through.  They thought that was pretty neat.  :)

 The cousins were there!  So that made it super fun.  Allie sure loved Julia.  It was sweet to watch them together. 

 Here are all the kids.  Dallin was giving me a grumpy face!  Ha!  But he actually had a great time. 

 Anyway, everyone, including the baby, did really good while there and on the drive.  So I think this Mom is ready to do more traveling with the kiddos.  :) 

Ice Cream

Splash Pad

To cool off today, we went to a splash pad here in town.  The kids had never been. 

 

They are so silly! 

 

Julia was mesmerized!  She is my water baby.  She loves water, and is entertained by it for hours.  She was not shy about getting in, and was pretty ok with being sprayed. 

 

 

 We will definitely go again.  Big hit!

Water Party

The fairgrounds here have lots of shade with a little stream running by.  So we had a get together with my kids' favorite friends, the Petersons. 

 

Dallin was especially happy.  He loves Wade and Ella.  He used to see them more when he was babysat there.  :)  They are like extra siblings for him to play with. 

 

 It was perfect for cooling off on a Summers Day. 

I just love this little person in her cute swim suit.  She was pretty good about staying out of the water.  Even though it is shallow she is just too little.  She was curious at first then I put her in and she realized how cold it was.  She just explored the grass and played. 
 

 I love Summer time!

Band

There is even more noise in my house now.  In preparation for his upcoming year in school band, we got Kyle a trombone.

Brian played the trombone in grade school too so he kind of gave him some pointers.  He is pretty excited, and I am excited to see some recitals.  :)
