Strawberries

I feel like I have spent a lot of time this summer on my yard, especially the back yard.  I guess I have.  I did more work on it just yesterday because my wonderful neighbors gave me some strawberries.  Free!  Well, free being a relative term.  It cost a few hours and a few blisters.  But this is what I have to look forward to next summer:
Look at my cute helper!

Blake helped too. After I got the grass set aside, and dirt loosened up he put some plants in and covered them with dirt.
Meanwhile, Kyle mowed the lawn.  He is awesome.
 All the boys helped me!
I still need to clean up the grass behind the strawberries.  I think I will put that good grass in another spot in my yard that needs it.

Check it out!  They are in!

Cousins

We got together with the cousins this week.
We headed over to a fun park that has a splash pad.
Julia wanted to turn this wheel thing, but just couldn't do it.
 So some helpers came!  :)
Kyle just loves her.  Lucky girl.
Here is cute Brook and Katelyn playing in the water.
 Swings!

Look at that cute group of kids!

Whittier Park

Took the kids to one of my favorite Logan parks.  There is a climbing wall so it is kinda fun for older kids.

I met my friend Angie and her kids down there.  Dallin was especially happy about that.  It was nice for me too; it is always nice to have another mom to chat with, even if I spend half my time chasing little ones around.

Here is Dallin with Ella.  :)

Wade and Ella were giving cute smiles, but Dallin was being a stinker.  :(  Cute picture anyway.

Julia loved this little horsie.  I can't believe how big she is getting!

Bear Lake

We made it to Bear Lake last week.  It is so beautiful there.  It was perfect weather, and we all had fun.

Blake brought his metal detector, but ended up having more fun with his cousins.

Julia has never been to a beach and loved it!  She was easier than I thought she would be.  She was super content playing in the sand most of the time.

She got in the water and loved that too!  I loved hanging out with this happy girl.

She ate lots of sand, and there wasn't much I could do about that.  She would shovel handfuls into her mouth.  Crackers, watermelon, Gatorade and string cheese didn't quench her desire to eat sand.  And the next day, she had a sandy diaper.  But it didn't hurt her.

The boys built a sand castle or two.

Dallin talked cute "Aunt Alissa" to going in the water with him.

Blake wanted to be buried in the warm sand.
Cousin Jake came, and shared his super sour warheads with all the kids.  They sure made some funny sour faces.  I have a cute video of this.  :)
The other boys wanted in on this.  Look at those sour faces!

The boys were great, everybody got along really good.  It is awesome having built in friends in their cousins.

Super fun day!

Blankie

Julia loves soft things.  It is fun to watch her snuggle with random things in the house.  She found a little fuzzy that must have come out of a pillow or something.  It was only the size of a pea, but she cuddled with it for a couple of days.  Here she is with her blankie:

She is officially in size 3 diapers now too.  Crazy how little she is!

My Mom!

We had a great visit with my Mom.  I met her husband Jon, who is super nice.  He is very friendly and we all had a great visit.
Right away, the boys talked Grandma Pam into getting onto the trampoline with them.  It was awesome, the boys loved that.

Just hanging out in the backyard!  :)

We hit the Pioneer Day parade.  Each of us got a fatboy!  How cool is that?
Then at the fairgrounds, Blake scaled this climbing wall.

And Kyle gave this bungee jump thing a try.  He loved it!
Since my Mom's bday is so close, we went ahead and celebrated.  She wore her own tiara while she opened presents.  Then she took us out to dinner.  Yum.

Dallin's present made everybody laugh.  He picked out a flowered flyswatter! Ha!

We played some bocci ball, which they had never played before. I think Jon won!
Beginner's luck.
Evening came and lucky us, we just walked outside to the park and watched fireworks from there.
What a wonderful evening it was.

The boys always get these glow sticks when we do fireworks.  And Jon being a kid at heart put it on his head.  Silly!  My Mom got up on the playground with the boys and had fun too.
More glowsticks.  The weekend went by super fast.  It was a fun visit.  My boys were super sad to see her go.  So we will have to get together again soon!  :)
