Yogurt

This is how Julia helps herself to the yogurt.
She puts a hole in the top with her sharp little teeth.

And drinks like it is a sippy cup!

Star Valley

We went up to visit Brian's side of the family in Wyoming.  It was a good trip.  It only takes about 2 hours to get there.
Dad gave Julia some rides on the four wheeler.  She loved it and kept asking for more.

Dallin was allowed to drive.  How do you think he felt about that?  :)

Blake fell in love with a bb gun.

And Kyle learned how to shift gears on a motorcycle.

It didn't matter that it got cold, he still loved being out.

Julia found someone else to give her rides.

Poor Brian was so tired, he had been up since 2:45 Friday, the day we left.  But he still had fun, it was a good trip.  :)

Camping

We went up to a camp site last week and had dinner with the kids.  It was a nice summer day and they loved it.  We found the neatest bug.  Never seen anything like it before.
We did hot dogs, grapes and smore's.  Mmm.  Chocolate.

Julia had fun.  And got super dirty!  She just wanted to eat dirt non stop!
The boys had fun crossing the little river and climbing.

The boys really wanted to catch this gecko.  But he was too fast!
Julia had fun exploring.

It was so fun and simple.  The best things are usually that way.  :)

Peaches

We have two peach trees in our backyard.  One of the trees is older; it was here when we moved in.  The other is only a few years old.  The older tree bears fruit towards the end of summer.  Unfortunately, it is dying.  We only get a few peaches off it each year.  But a few is better than none, so we don't cut it down.  Anyway, we got exactly 6 peaches this year.  One for each of us.  Julia loved hers!

Storm

A week or so ago, a storm came through that left a rainbow.  This was Julia's first time seeing one.  The sky was so pretty, one side was dark with the rainbow...

and the other was lit up all orange and yellow.  Pretty sunset!

Back to School for Kyle

Since Kyle is a 6th grader, he goes to the middle school here.  That is a big step for most kids, so their school makes it a little easier by allowing the 6th graders to have their first day of school with no older kids.  So his first day was a day later than everyone elses.  I was super nervous.  More so than him.  His bus was late coming home too!  I hate the bus.
Anyway, I was pretty anxious to see his reaction when he came home.  I so wanted him to have liked his first day.  And, he did!  It was a great day he said.

I snapped a quick picture of all the boys in the front yard.

They are such good kids!

Back to School

It was back to school today for Blake, and FIRST day for Dallin.  He started Kindergarten!
Here he was running to me when he saw me at the end of the day.  Because I have older kids too, I appreciate this response so much more!

Blake started 3rd grade! At our school, that means he is upstairs.  Crazy!  He is so tall and handsome.  I sure love this Blake of mine.

Dallin ran right up to Blake when he saw him, and Blake put his arm around his little brother.  It was a sweet moment.  Anyway, things went smoothly here.  It was a great day!
