Christmas Recital

One of the seasons highlights, piano recital.  I loved watching Dallin play.  He is the only one doing piano now.  He did Jolly Old St. Nicholas :)

Mapping Skills

The kids' school does the cutest thing with the Kindergarteners every year.  They make a gingerbread man, who gets cooked in the school kitchen.  During the cooking, the gingerbread man somehow makes a break for it and runs away.  Parents are asked to have friends/family to mail in postcards saying that they saw the gingerbread man, and where they saw it.  Postcards came from all over this year, I guess even Japan.  Grandma Pam from Arizona sent in a postcard to Dallin and his class.  She saw the gingerbread man!  He was in Arizona.  All these postcards light up the kids imagination while they learn to use a map.

Kyle and Blake did this same thing in Kindergarten.  What a fun tradition!

Trouble

Birthday for Brian

We had a little birthday party for Brian last night.  Well, as much of a party as we could after his crazy long workday. 
We had the best dinner ever, steak with fried shrimp, strawberries and French bread.  It was Brian's birthday, but we all got to partake.  Lucky us! 

 His actual present was something for the snowmobile that he picked out and ordered online.  It is coming later.  And of course, the snowmobile itself! 

Cake! 

 We didn't sing to him, but we did make him blow out the candles.  :)

Happy birthday Brian!  I love you. 

Work out

Julia helps me work out in the mornings lately.  She is the only one having fun, but having her help does make it go faster for me.  :)

 

 Here she is doing sit ups.  She is better at these than I am, that is for sure. 

Elf

A Christmas elf has come to our house; the kids have named him Ralph. 

I think he is pretty cute, and he has been doing some funny things.  The kids love finding him somewhere different each morning.  Here he was today:

Ralph is trying to stay out of trouble, but I have a feeling he is going to be getting into some mischief pretty soon....
