Redneck Waterslide

Last week our ward had access to this super fun waterslide. It is nicknamed the "Redneck Waterslide."

It is really steep. You can't really see how far up it is unless you are at the top looking down.

You can just see Blake and Kyle at the top here:

The first time down, they went together. :)

Then they had courage to go down independently. They had a blast!

There is a 2nd smaller slide for the little kids. Dallin jumped right in and had so much fun. There isn't much water on these; you mostly just get muddy.

I even took Dallin down the big one. It was hard to put myself in a bathing suit right after having a baby, but I didn't want that to stop me from having fun with the kids. I am glad I did it. It was fun but I almost chickened out. Seriously, I almost backed out last minute. It was so steep looking.

I am glad I did it. So fun!

2 Months

Ta da! I am two months old today!! :)

Dare I say it? Yes, I will say it. She doesn't have colic! So lucky. I can't believe how easy she has been. Maybe that means she will be a hard 2 year old. I don't know. All I know is she is a good natured baby and I am loving this. We love you Julia!

Pink Ladybug

Kyle found the cutest ladybug in out backyard, it is pink!

He was outside and came running in, telling me he found something cool, and he certainly did!

I didn't know such things existed, but I googled it (google being the definitive word on everything) and yes, they are real! So there you have it, a pink ladybug.

Bones

Mama, you want to play with your bones?

I guess they do kind of look like bones. :)

Silly Faces

Julia makes the funniest faces. She is so silly looking! :)

This is her sleepy smile. Yes, she was sound asleep when I took this picture.

Cross-Eyed:

Ha ha! She is trying to focus. The boys laugh at her when she does this.

She sticks her tongue out a lot.

This open mouth face is actually her smile. She gets so happy when she smiles that she opens her mouth and squirms. It is the full body smile :) I love it!

She just woke up here, and she looks a little concerned.

As you can see she has some silly looks...

but mostly, she is just beautiful!

911

We had to call 911 twice in the last couple of months. Once because I was babysitting a little girl and it turns out she is a runner. And a streaker at that. :( So scary. Thankfully she is ok. The other call was because Blake got bit by the neighbors dog.

Kyle, Blake and our neighbor friend Krue were all just playing out at the park, minding their own business. The neighbors dogs got loose and ran straight at Kyle. I guess Kyle sort of postured up and looked intimidating. The dog changed direction and went instantly at Blake. The dog's hair on it's back was raised, and it locked right on Blake's leg. :(

Luckily he happened to have on long jeans, his sturdiest pair. The bite mostly just bruised him.

Animal control came. They verified that the dog was current on rabies shots. I wanted the dog put down. Here in Logan, just because a dog bites someone does not mean the dog automatically gets taken away. It is so ridiculous that there is any tolerance for this! An owner has no obligation to get rid of the dog. But our neighbor who owns the dog did decide to send the dog away. She made the right decision. Thank goodness. I didn't want to be constantly in fear that this could happen again. My boys certainly did not instigate this.

My neighbor felt really bad. She was crying so hard that I ended up feeling bad for her. Thankfully my boys are ok, and no permanent harm has been done.

Mothers Day

Look what my boys got me:

I especially love the black electrical tape Blake used to wrap my present. :)

Kyle had so many sweet things to say. He is very thoughtful!

Dallin painted the flower pot himself in preschool and the flowers are pens.

I am so lucky. :)

Grandma

Dallin heard that Grandma was coming, so this is what he did until she got here:

Every once in a while, he would call out, "Grandma!" He was so excited to see her!!
