Some Fun Pictures

Looking back through my pictures of Blake and Kyle, I had a lot of bathtub pictures. Dallin is no exception. Those little chubby arms are so cute.

I had to include a couple of sleeping pictures too.

In his ultrasounds, Dallin always had his hands up by his face. As a newborn, he was the same. And now I always swaddle him so that when he sleeps his hands are close to his face. He is definitely more comfortable that way.

Oh those cute toes poking out!

Excersaucer!!

Heather, thanks for the excersaucer! Dallin loves it! Like, beyond loves it. Is happy for an hour loves it.

I think he is happy in it because there are so many fun things to touch within reach and because he is upright. Having acid reflux, upright feels better. (That is why he still sleeps in his car seat.) He might be my incredibly curious baby. His hands are always just twitching, begging for something to grab and touch.

I love this face of fascination.

Squeals of delight.

Thanks again!

Preschool

Blake started preschool already! Everyone told me that kids grew up fast. Guess it's true.

He is in the same preschool that Kyle was, Mrs. Jones’ preschool. He loves it so much. Every day he has been asking if he can go back. Just once a week though little buddy.

To be able to wear a back pack like Kyle does has been heaven for him. As if that wasn’t enough, he was given fruit snacks as a treat on his first day.

Safe to say, he is a happy boy.

Bikes

Summer was passing us by, and I realized there were two important things that didn’t get done. We never really spent the time with Kyle to get him to ride without training wheels and Blake’s hand me down bike never got fixed.

We went to the store and found out that to replace the tires on Kyle’s old bike now Blake’s bike was $40! So, we just went ahead and got him his very own bike. Needless to say, he loves it! We had to train him to use the brakes. He wanted to put his foot on the back tire to slow himself down. Not going to work when you are going fast and probably dangerous too. But with some practice and reminding he is doing just fine.

Last fall we started teaching Kyle to ride without training wheels. He did great but then the weather changed and over the winter it was forgotten. I haven’t been the greatest about being out with the kids a lot this summer so we put off retraining him. But without much help he has been riding without training wheels again just fine. He needed some coaching from dad to learn how to get started on his own. But now he just takes right off. Just like Blake though, he also needed help getting stopped when he goes too fast. But he is getting the hang of it just fine.

Boys, boys, boys!

I am so outnumbered. But I am getting used to it. I can hold a creepy crawly worm and not flinch! I can catch grasshoppers and beetles and hold them for Blake to love.

Blake can actually catch his own grasshoppers now. He tried to give them loves. He put one on his cheek the other day and told me how cute it was, that it was tickling him.

And thanks to grandma bonnie for these awesome star wars robes. The boys are loving them!
The fair came to town so we took the boys down to ride some rides and maybe get some treats. But I guess it has been a while since I went to the fair; I couldn't believe how expensive it was. It would have been $16 for us to ride the ferris wheel, even with Dallin being free. So we just let the boys pick two rides.

I did get some cute pictures of the boys. They were really great and had fun. But next year when the fair is in town, we are going to do something else.

Kyle

Grown up Kyle started 1st grade! Whoa, how did that happen?

He likes his teacher, his friends and recess. But he is not happy that he is gone from home for so long. But I have to say, that I kinda am. I didn't realize how much he and Blake were fighting until I've had a break. But I do feel a little sad that there are bigger influences in his life than mom and dad. Hopefully, he chooses good friends.

He is also running for big brother of the year award. Well, at least when it comes to Dallin. Unfortunately, he doesn't always express this much love to Blake.

Bear Lake

I have lived in Logan for 10 years now and have never been to Bear Lake. The boys and I finally got to go. Dad had to work so he didn't get to come but we did meet up with some other family.

Blake and Kyle were loving it right off the bat.

I think these two pictures illustrate the difference in personality between Kyle and Blake. Kyle is very strong willed but more quiet. Blake is very easy going and free.

They are buddies nonetheless.

Being from California, I am kinda picky about what I call a beach. Other bodies of water that I have been to here in Utah are all rocks. But Bear Lake actually has real soft sand!

This has got to be the safest beach ever. You can walk for yards before the water gets any deeper than your knees.

Thank to everyone who came. This was the most fun we have had all summer.
